Wine Glass Lamps

Several weeks ago, we had a surprise anniversary party for my in-laws.  We used the same colors as they had on their wedding day - teal and hot pink.  For the centerpieces, I used hot pink carnations, wrapped them tightly, and put them in a simple vase.  For the rest of the centerpieces were lamps made from wine glasses.

For the lamps, I went to a thrift store and bought various wine glasses.  I put sand in the bottom of each wine glass so that they candles inside were stable.  I used scrapbook paper as the lamp shade.  The downfall: the scrapbook paper was not sheer enough so that the candle could shine through, but I couldn't find sheer enough paper I loved.  Regardless, I love the look, so I will be using these lamps throughout the year!

The supplies I used for the wine glass lamps:

• Wine glasses (various sizes)
• Lamp shade template
• Scrapbook paper
• Double-sided tape
• Sand
• Tea light candles

For the bouquets, I bought hot pink carnations a few days before and let them open up a little bit.  I put three together in a triangle.  After the triangle was formed, I then took 3 more carnations and put them in between the first 3 that I had placed. 

The supplies I used for the flower bouquets:

• Hot pink carnations (6-8 for each bouquet)
• Floral tape
• Vases

Picturesque Wedding Invite

This must be one of my favorite wedding invites that I have designed.  I wanted to give the edges a smoky border to add to the great coloring of the pictures.  The size of the announcement is 5x7 and the ceremony card is a business card size.

Pantry Shower Invitation

I was recently asked by a customer to do an invitation for her themed pantry shower invitation.  I had never heard of a "pantry shower," so I started to do a little research.  After what I was finding in my research, I thought that this was such a great idea!  If you were unaware of a pantry shower like I was, here is the run down.  The idea behind the pantry shower is to stock the bride and groom's pantry by bringing those items that you typically wouldn't give as a gift, such as sugar and flour.

For this invite, my customer wanted to have a few categories on the invite so that the bride and groom wouldn't get 5 pounds of flour.  We decided to do five categories, baking ingredients, boxed foods, canned foods, paper products, and items for under the kitchen sink (that one was my idea...we all need cleaning products).  I basically did five designs, one for each product, and my customer "assigned" her guests the various categories and mailed them out accordingly.

I must admit that this invite was a chellange, but I was up for it.  I just love the way the pantry show invite turned out!

 

Colorful Birthday Party

One of my customers contact me to design her duaghter's first birthday invitation.  The theme for the party was color.  I thought both designs turned out way cute, only beccuase of the little one's picture :)

Instead of mailing the invite out, she decided to make it an e-invite.  YES, I can do those too!

Baby Shower Announcement

The mother-to-be of this design just loves damasks.  Her colors for the baby's room are brown, pink, and green.  Below are a few of the designs I came up with.  The final that was selected was the 3rd design. 

One of the great things about this design is that it can also be used as a wedding shower invitation or birthday invitation.

Spa Natalia

 I recently went to Spa Natalia to get an awesome pedicure.  Me and Natalie (owner of Spa Natalia) starting talking about my business.  She asked me to come up with a new design for Spa Natalia.  I used her colors from the spa and the damask insperation came from her daughter's wallpaper in her room.  For Spa Natalia, I designed the spa menu, business card, and gift certificate.

Custom Wedding Announcements

This is one of my latest customized wedding invitation designs.  After speaking with the bride, it seemed that she wanted her invite to have a "scrapbook" feel.  I love how the colors turned out!  The bride contact me on a Saturday, I had her design completed on Sunday, and delivered to her by Wednesday.  I think that is my quickest turnaround time yet.

Baby Shower Invitation

My customer contacted me to design a custom baby shower invitation for her daughter who is having twins!  She wanted something non-traditional (meaning no light blues, peas in a pod, etc.).  I told her about the construction-themed birthday party invitation I did for Dane's birthday party and she loved the idea. 

Since her daughter is having twins, I wanted to do two of something, but still wanted to give it a baby shower feel.  This is what the final result was of the custom baby shower invitation.

Custom Wedding Announcements

My friend contacted me a couple weeks ago to design a wedding announcement for her and her husband.  She didn't really have an idea of what she wanted, but asked me to customize the design.  I came up with a few ideas for her.  One design I did was a damask design.  I just loved the way it turned, and so did she because it was the one she picked!  I designed this one so I could incorporate both pictures (she couldn't decide which picture to use, so I thought why not have both).

This was another one of my favorite customized wedding announcement design I did.

Custom Baby Announcements

My friend asked me to design a custom baby girl announcement for her new little arrival.  After many trial and errors, she decided on the customized baby announcement design below.  My friend called me on a Tuesday and I had her design printed and delivered to her the next week.

Graduation Announcement

I was asked a couple of weeks ago by a few people to do a customized graduation announcement.  I wasn't sure of how to design a graduation announcement, but I think I accomplished some pretty good designs.  Here are the custom graduation announcements that I came up with.  I got these designs completed, printed, and delivered within 2 days of the customers ordering them.

Cutom Birthday Party Invitation

My friend in Colorado, yes...I said Colorado, asked me to design her daughter's first birthday invitation.  They call her daughter "Bean" and wanted to incorporate a bean design on their custom birthday invitation.  I designed the birthday invitation and sent her the file so she could get it printed at her local printer.  Here are the designs I came up with.*

Wright Shower

I was asked by my family to create a wedding shower invitation for a family wedding shower.  I just love making damasks, so I definitely wanted to add that to the wedding shower invite.  The bride's colors are coral and pastel yellow.  I made a damask using the coral color.  I also used her soon-to-be last name in the background in the canary color.  Here is the design that I came up with.

I wanted the invitation to have some texture, so I printed it on an ivory linen paper.  They turned out awesome!!!
